Methodist Healthcare Gives Medical Supplies to the Club de Leones (Lions Club) of Sabinas Hidalgo Nuevo León

Five pallets of medical supplies are being loaded today on a truck bound for Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo León where supplies will be distributed to community clinics and hospitals in their region. This is a collaborative effort between Methodist Healthcare and the Club Nuevo León (Lions Club) in San Antonio to provided needed supplies to our neighbors in Nuevo León. This effort is being coordinated with the assistance of the Club de Leones (Lions Club) de Sabinas Hidalgo.

Gerardo Escamilla, President of the Club Nuevo León in San , with other board members of the Club Leones will formally receive contribution from Ralph Foster, II, Director of International Services for Methodist Healthcare, on behalf of citizens of Nuevo León.

Methodist Healthcare is San Antonio’s largest and most preferred health care provider whose facilities include seven acute care hospitals: Methodist Children’s Hospital of South Texas*, Methodist Hospital, Methodist Heart Hospital*, Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital,* Northeast Methodist Hospital,* Metropolitan Methodist Hospital* and Methodist Ambulatory Surgery Hospital--Northwest. Construction on the new Methodist Stone Oak Hospital is due to begin in early 2006.
