San Antonio, Texas – Annie Holt, CEO, Methodist Children’s Hospital, has advanced to Fellow status in the American College of Healthcare Executives, an international professional society of 30,000 health care executives.

ACHE recognized Holt during the convocation ceremony earlier this week, during the organization’s annual Congress on Healthcare Management. Fellow status is the highest level of professional achievement in ACHE. In fact, only 3,200 health care executives hold this distinction.

ACHE Fellowship is particularly meaningful than ever, at a time when corporate responsibility is challenged daily. Our community can believe in health care leaders who have earned this prestigious FACHE credential.

To obtain fellow status candidates must demonstrate their education, experience and leadership in the health care field for several years. They must also submit case studies, write a thesis on a health care management topic or participate in a year-long mentorship project. Holt, of the Methodist Children’s Hospital in San Antonio, is privileged to use the “FACHE designation, which indicates board certification in healthcare management and ACHE Fellow status. ###

Methodist Healthcare is San Antonio’s largest and most preferred health care provider with 22 facilities including seven acute care hospitals: Methodist Heart Hospita*, Methodist Children’s Hospital of South Texas*, Methodist Hospital, Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital*, Northeast Methodist Hospital*, Metropolitan Methodist Hospital* and Methodist Ambulatory Surgery Hospital.
