Tuesday, January 30, 2007 CARDIAC CONNENCTIONS PROGRAM TO SPOTLIGHT “HEART FAILURE: SYMPTOMS, DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT” ON FEBRUARY 6 AND 21 Heart failure, also called congestive heart disease, is a condition in which the heart can’t pump enough blood to the body’s organs and tissues. Symptoms include shortness of breath, fluid retention, persistent coughing, increased heart rate and fatigue. Michael Kwan, M.D., transplant cardiologist at the Texas Transplant Institute, will present a free public seminar, “Heart Failure: Symptoms, Diagnosis and Treatment” from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6 at the Boerne Hill County Family YMCA, 1361 South Main Street. The seminar will be repeated from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21, in the first floor conference room of the Texas Neurosciences Institute, 4410 Medical Drive. The seminars, which are open to the public free of charge, are part of the Cardiac Connections programs presented by Methodist Healthcare during February.
